BEAM QUALITIES:

1. FRESNEL - Soft edged Beam with high light intensity.

Metal Halide Features:

1. Control Gear: VS Ignitors reduce re-strike time by up to 50% and provide automatic switch-off of faulty lamps after 3 cycles and Ballasts feature Thermal cut-outs for additional equipment protection. Integrated gear is standard on PROLITE Luminaires with Gear Housings being separated from Lamp Housings by a 5mm Air Gap for additional heat protection. Capacitor mounting is such that in the unlikely event of a Capacitor fire any flame or plastic drip is contained within an un-ported area (Note: Capacitors are manufactured from self extinguishing materials in any event)
2. Theatrical Applications: These units offer a combination of Ultra Long Lamp Life, choice of Lamp Colour Temperatures and Beam Control previously available only in Theatrical Lighting. Some of the possibilities available to Lighting Designers include reasonably specific object lighting, a huge array of colours using standard Gels or Dichroic Filters and even outdoor use in Theme Parks.
3. Optics: While light output is not of quite the same quality and evenness of standard Theatrical Luminaires due to the inherent characteristic of Metal Halide Lamps, performance is powerful relative to the wattages involved and the actual beam quality is surprisingly good. For the few circumstances where a higher quality output is required the use of Pebble Convex Lenses could be considered, however, we would recommend on site trials before any decisions are made in this regard
4. Positive Gel Frame/Barndoor Retention System allows these units to stand easily in the nose-down (vertical) position for floor storage.
5. Fresnels & Profiles both offer the benefit of Cool Beams
6. Integral Gear, Ignitor time-out & upto 9000hr Lamp Life).
7. Remote Gear & Track Adaptor options

Standard Features:

1. Safety cables are permanently swaged to the rear casting.
2. A Gel Frame is a standard inclusion with each unit.
3. Plug Adaptor (Piggy-back type) is also standard.
4. All Components are easily accessible via hinged or sliding doors for fast, simple maintenance, with absolutely no pop-rivets being used for fastening purposes.
5. Bodies are constructed using High Pressure Aluminium Die Castings & Aluminium Extrusions

1. Barn Doors are optional extras for FRESNELS & P/CONVEX units.
2. Weather-proofing is available for most models.
3. Custom Colours are available in a wide range of powder-coat colours
